Attendees impressed by broiler performance, growth rate and feed efficiency of Ross 308 AP
Campinas, SP, Brazil – Aviagen® has reported a successful showing at the 2017 International Poultry and Pork event (SIAVS), which took place Aug. 29-31 in São Paulo, Brazil.
Organized every other year by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA), SIAVS is South America’s foremost poultry event. Each time it is well attended by government and agricultural dignitaries, as well as poultry owners, integrators, veterinarians, agronomists and numerous other industry professionals.
Competitive advantages of Ross 308 AP (AP95) showcased
SIAVS provided the ideal venue for Aviagen to host close to 65 customers from all over Brazil, with a focus on fortifying valued relationships, exchanging best practices and discussing the competitive advantages of Ross® 308 AP broiler breeding stock. The product is popular throughout Brazil and South America for its excellent broiler performance, feed conversion and growth rate.
Aviagen kicked off the event with a customer dinner at Coco Bambu Anhembi restaurant on Aug. 29, featuring a presentation of “Aviagen’s Latin American investments” by Ivan Lauandos, president of Aviagen Latin America.
“The Ross 308 AP is gaining market share in Latin America, and we are aiming our investment on fortifying our team and production capacity to keep up with this growth,” says Lauandos. “We would like to thank the ABPA for a well-organized event. The booth and accommodations were well-suited to extend a high level of comfort and hospitality to our customers.”
Aviagen Brazil Business Manager Abilio Alessandri agrees on the show’s importance for Aviagen. “SIAVS has provided us with a good opportunity to showcase the performance and competitive attributes, such as daily weight gain and feed conversion ratio, of the Ross 308 AP, which is enjoying success in Brazil and throughout South America. We are pleased with the positive feedback we received from customers and other SIAVS attendees this year,” he said.
Looking ahead to 2019
Aviagen Latin America Marketing Manager Fabio Carnevale says company is pleased with this year’s success and is already looking ahead to 2019.
