Aviagen shares poultry best practices and demonstrates commitment to growing poultry sector in region
Antigua, Guatemala – Aviagen®, the world’s leading poultry breeder, announced today that it will join other major players in the Latin American poultry industry at the XXIV (24th) Central American & Caribbean Congress to be held Nov. 9-11 at the Hotel Museo Casa Santo Domingo in Antigua, Guatemala. Aviagen’s booth will spotlight the Ross® and Arbor Acres® brands.

Aviagen will sponsor two presentations during the event:
- On Nov. 10, 11:45-12:30 p.m., Diez will lecture on "Genetic supply alternatives in light of emerging diseases" in room 2.
- On Nov. 10, 2:45-3:30 p.m., Dr. Nick Dale, professor emeritus from the University of Georgia’s Poultry Science Department, will present "Dispelling myths from nutrition in eggs and poultry meat.”
About the 2016 XXIV Central American & Caribbean Congress
The congress occurs every two years at a different venue. This year, ANAVI Guatemala, the country’s national poultry association and organizer of the event, chose the charming and historic city of Antigua. Located near the capital of Guatemala City, Antigua was declared a World Heritage site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and is the country’s most frequently visited tourist destination.
