U.S. AAAP and ANECA team up for joint symposium during event.
Campinas, SP, Brazil – Poultry professionals from throughout Mexico will gather during the week of May 3-6 for the 42nd annual ANECA convention, and Aviagen®, the world’s leading poultry breeding company, will play a significant role in the event. ANECA is Mexico’s national association of poultry specialists and the intent of the annual event is to encourage and develop poultry production throughout the country. During the convention, which will take place at the Hotel Galerias Plaza Veracruz in Boca del Río, Veracruz, attendees will explore key topics relating to optimum poultry health and flock management. More than 600 guests are expected to be welcomed to the event.
The event will feature a symposium held jointly by poultry veterinary associations in Latin America and the American Association of Avian Pathologists (AAAP). Another highlight will be a presentation by Dr. Javier Alvarado, technical services manager for Aviagen in Mexico, who will discuss “Efficient Broiler Management” with his audience on Friday, May 5.
“ANECA is an important yearly event in Mexico, where poultry specialists meet to share the latest findings and best practices in the poultry production industry. The joint event between ANECA and AAAP demonstrates the industry benefits to be reaped by close collaboration between scientists from diverse areas of the globe,” explains Dr. Jose J. Bruzual, regional technical manager for Aviagen in Latin America.
Juan Diez, business manager for Aviagen in Mexico, Central America and Caribbean stresses the importance of the event. “Mexico is a major player in the global poultry industry and we are truly happy to have this opportunity to share good and effective practices for broilers,” he says. “Aviagen has historically led the market in broiler breeding stock and our Ross® brand makes considerable progress year by year, consistently delivering excellent performance.”
